Every dollar raised at NVforHD goes directly to one chosen cause. No overhead. No splitting. We pick the most impactful target each year and give everything.

For 2026 we are returning to support the UC Davis Huntington's Disease Center of Excellence — the only specialty HD clinic serving Northern Nevada and our own beautiful Christine.
“They didn't just treat the medical side of Huntington's Disease. They cared about the whole journey.”
— Tiffany, HD Family & UC Davis Patient
This clinic operates entirely on private donation. Families like Tiffany's, Mikey and Holly's, and Leilani's — over 90 Northern Nevada families — depend on it for neurologists, psychiatrists, genetic counselors, and social workers who guide them through their worst days. Your round of golf directly funds this team.
“With the generous support of people like you, our HD team is able to make a difference in the lives of people and families living with HD.”
Dear HD Community,
We are incredibly grateful for the support the HD community has shown our UC Davis HDSA Center of Excellence Clinic over our 32 years. With the HD community's support, we are able to provide expert multidisciplinary HD care for our patients and their families having access to neurologists, psychiatrists, social worker, genetic counselor and physical therapists.
In 2025 we were able to offer the addition of a neuropsychologist and OB/GYN experts to our HD clinic to better serve patient needs. While our focus is on clinical care, we also engage in many educational events to teach others about HD, train the next generation of HD care providers, and are an active HD research trial site.
While we remain optimistic and very hopeful about developing HD therapies and the impressive landscape of research trials being conducted in HD, we need to continue to provide quality clinical care for those living with HD symptoms today. The horizon is bright for future meaningful treatments, however we also remain committed to providing families living with HD today clinical expertise and support through our HDSA Center of Excellence.
With the generous support of people like you, our HD team is able to make a difference in the lives of people and families living with HD.
With gratitude,
The care team at UC Davis HD Center of Excellence
In 2025 we made a deliberate change — shifting our focus to help more people in our Northern Nevada region with specialised care they cannot access anywhere else nearby.
We chose the Huntington's Disease Center of Excellence at UC Davis — the closest specialty care our community can reach. By choosing this team, we were able to directly assist over 45 Northern Nevada patients with 2 neurologists, 2 psychiatrists, a genetic counselor, social worker, physical therapists, and research coordinators all dedicated to HD.
“Their care for us is not transactional — they are in this journey with us. We cannot have the quality of life that we have if it wasn't for them.”
— Mikey, HD Caregiver & Family

For 2024 all proceeds benefited HelpCureHD — an organisation inspired by Lee Smith, mother of MLB veteran Joe Smith. Lee was diagnosed with HD in 2012 and passed in 2020 just shy of her 62nd birthday.
Joe and his wife, TNT reporter Allie LaForce, are fulfilling a promise to end Huntington's disease one family at a time. HelpCureHD funds IVF with genetic screening so children can be born HD-free — helping over 135 families nationally.
Our 2024 goal was to raise enough to help one family end the cycle of pain and suffering. We achieved it. Brandon and Rylee Puccini are now expecting — the baby is HD-free.

“Thank you for gifting us with the miracle of life — and specifically life that is Huntington's free.”
